Cherwell Safer Communities Partnership
Anti-Social Behaviour Action Group
Anti-social behaviour includes a variety of behaviour covering a whole complex of selfish and unacceptable activity that can blight the lives of individuals and communities. Examples include nuisance neighbours, rowdy and nuisance behaviour, vandalism, graffiti, yobbish behaviour and intimidating groups taking over public spaces.
Anti-social behaviour does not just make life unpleasant. It holds back the regeneration of disadvantaged areas and creates an environment where more serious crime can take hold. Reducing anti-social behavour is therefore essential to making neighbourhoods better places to live.
Tackling anti-social behaviour is a key priority for local communities, who regularly identify this as one of the most important issues in their area. Problems caused by anti-social behaviour are often challenging, with the solutions being varied and complex.
Cherwell District Council have an Anti-Social Behaviour Action Group, with robust action plans to tackle ASB and build a culture of respect.
