Cherwell Safer Communities Partnership
Local Policing

Neighbourhood Management (also referred to as Neighbourhood Policing) is a partnership way of working with the communities in Cherwell to tackle the issues that are important to residents and achieve improvements in the community.
This customer focused approach helps Cherwell improve the environment and community safety. This helps Cherwell build a strong foundation to tackle the long term challenges of our neighbourhoods.
Through consultation with the community, priorities of concern to residents are identified as issues that need to be dealt with in their area and Cherwell District Council will be working in partnership with Thames Valley Police as well as other organisations to tackle them.
A neighbourhood is defined as a geographic area which is of a size that permits effective delivery whilst serving the needs of the local community. Further general information can be found on the web page of the Neighbourhood Action Groups (NAGs).
More localsied information, containing the priorities for the neighbourhood, the members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, and the monthly news update for the neighbourhood can be obtained from the links on the left of the screen.
